hazard lights flash and indicators work with alarm on/off but I get nothing from the indicator left/right stalk.

 

everything is in Japanese and I haven't got my manual and there doesn't appear to be any fuses blown.

 

NE1 any ideas?

From the wiring diagram I would guess that there is a connector somewhere around the steering column that connects that stalk. It's a whiles since I took that apart though, so can't confirm it.

Steve, I had exactly the same problem a year ago...turned out to be my alarmsystem was causing the problem.

 

or...it could be there's something wrong with the main relay (black box behind the clocks)...but usually the hazard lights don't work either then.

Also check the hazard-switch itself...since the indicators won't work if the switch is bad or not connected.

Exactly the same problem here - turned out to be dodgey connection on connector to flasher unit.

 

Stuff your hand up behind the steering column and wiggle the 3-pin connector on the wee square box.

 

Well, it worked for me...

probably dry joints on indicator column. mine did this for a day when i haddnt driven it for weeks when i was having interior fitted.

as i have never seen your red beast im pretty sure this is the reason. LOL...
