Hi every one

I have just bought a 1991 vg30dett, just a cupple of questions

1st my zx is smoking only on one bank and it's constant smoke

Any ideas?

2nd can any one help with insurance

    welcome to the club Lee.

     

    in terms of insurance, some common ones to try for jap cars are Adrian Flux, A-Plan, Sky, Carole Nash, plus others that might get a mention below. the Z is a classic car so you may be able to pick up classic insurance if you class it as a 2nd car.

    If it's blue smoke out of the engine bay it'll be rocker cover gaskets, from what I gather it's a pretty common fault and it was happening on mine when I bought it. Bit of a **** to replace, because you have to remove the plenum. I didn't have a garage or much time when I needed mine doing, so I got my mechanic to do it, cost me about £70 including the parts which included an oil change as well.

    It's also down on power I thought it may b a turbo fault,

    Or valve stem oil seals because it has been sat for a while before I've got it.

    I'm 26 with 3yrs no claims and a clean license.

    welcome mate im a similar age to you with just a little more no claims i have a jdm import with mods and got a decent price with adrian flux, worth a try :)

    Hi Lee, and welcome to the club. I'm afraid we can't help with insurance, we all pay our own.....lol. Sorry buddy, that was just asking for that comment.

     

    I find Heritage very good, don't know how old you are, but I pay £180.00 pa, with an agreed valuation of £3,500, and 5000 miles pa mileage.
