was going to do my whole drive way with cream stones but since lowering the zed and the fact that the wifes del sol is even lower thinking of something a bit more solid. not wanting any sort of mono blocks though, are they slabs you get in like patio sets suitable for driveways?

yeah they would crack, you can get some very nice blocks these days

if you want to do it properly then put a concrete base down before you sand and block it, wont sink then

yeah have pointed out lots of nice blocks that would go well witth the house and garden but the other half isnt going for it

mate if you want some help give me a shout be happy to give a hand after all i havnt used my landscaping abilieties in a while

as stella said get some sand down then get some canvas sheeting(to stop weeds and the like)then crete and slab or whatever your thinking

Do what Stella said and go for the block paving. There's loads of different colour bricks you can get these days.

Concrete it, then build a garage over the top of it, sorted!

the 15 meter driveway leads to the 5m by 6.5m garage that im in the middle of building lol think blocks are the way forward just need to convince her

Ya don't want concrete or tarmac really - unless it's permeable - for lot's of reasons which you can google rather than me write lot's on here. Here's a link which will help you decide what to do and is also a fantastic aid when you're doing it :)

I've nearly finished my permeable brick drive and here's a couple of pix. Water never pools and done correctly will simply soak through the substrate. Also a pic of two strips which 'are' on concrete but that's because there's no risk of pooling.

Mine looks like that, just a different colour and done with brick. Yours looks really smart
