Hi

I need a set of standard alloys refurbished and have heard that the two main techniques used are either paint or powder coating. Does anyone have any advice as to which is the preferred approach?

Lepsons - http://www.lepsons.com - in Swindon is pretty close to me - has anyone any experience to share?

Cheers

Paul

I think powder coating gives a more professional finnish,

I've had a set of mine done in the past for about 60 a wheel.

Also got my mountain big done in green and purple flip paint !

Looks the dogs b@llocks !

Powder coating is the toughest so won't chip as easy as normal paint. If you do decide to use paint, then 2K (2pack) will be harder than cellulose or water based paint.

Haven't used them personally Paul, but I know that Lepson have a very good reputation, I wouldn't hesitate to use them and the finish will be way better than a rattle can or these vans that do them at your home etc..

I was recommended Lepsons through a company in Melksham, they couldn't recommend them highly enough. I will be popping over to see what it would cost to get mine refurbished as soon as I get some time off.
