Hi everyone,

Not really posted anything of my zed yet so before the long slog of work begins i thought i'd take some pics so when u all get a chance to see her you can see how far she's come.

Low milage but a bit tatty when i bought her, cheap enought to take on though. So far timing belt 100k kit, upgraded the ptu, ironed out a little list of fault codes, replaced missing trim, replaced some pannels and sprayed roof, brakes too. MOT monday, i'm sure there will b something else they tell me about but hopefully not much, they also replacing the centre bearing and exhaust for me befor i tackle the rest.

I'll update with more photos as i go but i want this baby on the road soon as so everything should happen quick

Suggestions for Potential Valved Exhaust

There aren’t any available on the market so you’ll have to go down the custom route. Not sure if you’ve come across automotive YouTube channels but the Autoalex group of channels all use this firm called Richs Fabrication Shop in Garford, Oxfordshire. They’ve done a few valved exhausts on their cars from Merc CL600’s to Landcruisers I seem to remember. The welding appears top notch, the valve was operated by a Bluetooth fob on the keychain so really convenient. Could probably get it mounted in the interior if easier.

Moving on to the air conditioning.
This felt like it took me an age to get the pipe work back in, never seen such a complicated setup of pipes.
think i've managed to get them all in place however i've discovered that the aircon evaporator is bent and i cant get it to bolt back in on one side.

I'm now looking out for options to retrofit a newer aircon system.

Tyre size recommendations

I have some after market wheels on my Zed and all the tyres have perished so before it goes for its MOT at the end of the month im looking for new tyres.
The wheels are 17" and are staggered, with a 9.5j at the rear and 8j at the front.
The current tyres on the rear are 255/40/17 and a 235/40/17 on the front.

Now ive only been able to find one tyre at 235/40/17 so I want to change so I can get a decent brand, but which way do I go.
I dont want stretched look, I want a nice flat side wall look so thinking of a 245, but would this be too chunky.
The other question is if I go up a size on the front, should I also then go up on the back? Or will it not matter?
Any help would be gratefully received!

MOT time again

Last year went by very quick, my zed was also due this month, it's first MOT in my ownership.
Thankfully passed, slight oil leak as well (I have been keeping an eye on). Unfortunately some corrosion underneath too which will need sorting.
Hoping to make the trip down to Powerzed in the near future to get the car checked properly and prepped for a good year of driving and enjoying the beast.
