maplins probably your best bet

go to any tv spares shop and get a 1megaohm resistor, i picked up 5 for 50p.

I have sent these onto other members, but if you get stuck i have a place very near me.

i got some in garage if you pm me your address will stick a couple in the post to you.

Right, cheers for that. I take it I can pop to maplins etc? I may even have one already. I've done away with the dett sensor on the block now.

Forget Maplins, I'd rather send you one for free :wack:

While we're in the topic... My car seems to stay in safety it's safety map/boost for the first drive drive of the day, if I cycle the ignition, it runs properly.

Is it only the dett sensor and the temp sensor that can cause it to drop into safety map? I'll be bypassing the dett sensor to rule it out shortly...

I would say before bypassing it needs a consult check,an open circuit det sensor wont cycle usually on the ignition, you may have an issue which needs fixing and not masking with a resistor
