Gonna respray my scuttle panels - theyre in pretty good nick but starting to fade slightly, after rubbing down I got some Plastikote spray, (got some undercoat too).

 

However....

 

I have black and the original colour is a dark grey.

 

Do you think the black will look or or just make everything too black, I sorta think it needs the grey to break things up

 

I cant find any grey plastikote at local merchants but can prob source somewhere.

The best paint to use is plastidip, it leaves a rubber like coating on the panel and looks more OEM,http://www.plastidip.co.uk/eStore/index.cfm?Plastidip_Aerosol_Spray&stage=3&colour=Black,Blue,Clear,Red,White,Yellow&pid=PDL-0009

I had mine sprayed satin black as preferred it to the grey - think it looks a little more modern in black IMO :)

I used plastidip on mine then 1 coat of matt lacquer.
