Z might not be back on the road as soon as I would have liked..

Looks like the next couple of months may be a bit tough. I work for my mates electrical & mechanical company and we did loads of work for a large perfume manufacturer who went into liquidation owing us just over £20k, which is a big knock for a 2 man company :cursing:

We've been riding it out but as a result I've been told from start of june my hours will be halved so obviously my wages will be too, and I didnt get that much to start with as I'm still training... lol

We're off on holiday in june which was planned a while ago, but also in june the Z will need taxing, MOTing and insuring! :scared:

I'm not one of these who gives up at the first hurdle and theres NO way I'm selling the Z, so fear not the twin turbo conversion will get finished in the next few weeks then I'll find a way to get it back on the road asap! I may be selling loads of bits soon to create a buffer to help me out but at least you'll know why and give me lots of money to support me :tt2:

That sucks Baz, really sorry to hear about this, hope there's a way you can recover your losses eventually. Glad you're not giving up too

Sorry to here about the drop in hrs mate but yes 20k is allot to loose for a small firm, i also had a drop a while ago and even took on a second temp( go when required) night job! but then within a few months my hrs are now way back up in my main role and there is talk of steady growth so things can turn around work wise and hope they do for you mate!

Pleeeeeease dont give up though im looking forward to seeing it done so you must be on pins lol, hope it does not extend the time span by to much!!! keep us posted on the conversion,oh and will pm soon over the 350z but still not heard on what i mentioned in pm as yet :/

Chris

if the liquidators are in there then you should eventually get some money from it, however its very unlikely to be the full amount. Is there anything that you could remove and resell? Being electrical I suspect its cabling etc?

This happened to dad a few years ago and although he couldnt get much out he managed to get a few items from the cabinets they had installed which helped in the long run.

A lot of what we fitted was specialist stuff - spark arrestors in ethanol tanks etc you get the jist!

Someone checked companies house for us and one of the directors started a new company of a similar name a month before they went under... they shouldnt be able to get away with it as its obvious what they are doing!!

My drop in hours should only be a month or two but after that I'll be fully qualified so it should go up considerably!

With the exception of a few seals that zedworld are getting me I've got everything to finish my conversion so I'll keep beavering away at that to keep me happy & occupied :thumbup1:

Bad news Baz, sorry to hear, The building trade is on its arse enough without more companys going bust!! especially 20k on a small firm, ouch, these things normally happen for a reason and in no time you will be back to normal making more money than ever, things do seem to be moving again, good luck with the zed and work mate

That sucks mate, keep your chin up though and think of the TT power you'll have at the end of it.

sorry to hear that mate, i hate hearing thing's like this

the day i put the M3 on the road shell came in and told me she was losing her job, been struggling for a few weeks now
