Drivers side was so bent a 4 foot scaffold tube with a 4 ton ratchet wouldn't pull it straight ...bonnet was 40 mm out of line ...front cross member was snapped and twisted.....good luck to anyone who goes after it....engine was sweet..... But check the repairs carefully

That really should be mentioned on the advert somewhere - I hate these feckers who try to rip people off..

Tried to leave a question at the bottom asking:

'Is it true this car is a Cat. C write-off?'

But I've lost my login details for Ebay - anybody else fancy spoiling this guys fun??

Just posted this question.....

Heard that this was a Cat 'C' write off Is that why the front bumper is misaligned ?

Is it being sold as a wrecker as there's no front reg plate, only a back one ?

And just got a reply...

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm the funny thing is i have 8 ppl asking me the same thing today!!!!

If its Cat C he will know about it. All Cat C vehicles have it printed on the log book. Nothing wrong with a repaired Cat C, providing it has been properly repaired but he should mention it on the Advert. :sneaky2:

Nothing unusual about the messages not showing though. Seller has to turn that option on. Most people dont I find, I never turn them on myself, and Im not a fan of when sellers put my questions on either.

Ive just sent him this message, he may actually get the idea eventually that it would be a good idea to make it known, that it is a Cat C.

Hi ya, having ran a check on the car, it seems to be coming back as a Cat C - I've also managed to find out some history about the accident it was involved in, and its showing that it needed some serious front end work to do with the chassis as it was twisted.

Can you tell me why this isn't disclosed in the add? and if any work has been done to rectify the chassis twist. is there paper work to prove its been jigged correctly? as i wouldn't be happy to purchase the vehicle only to find out that it still needs extensive work done. it would show on the V5 that its a Cat C, so I'm surprised you haven't made people aware of this in the add.

and if you look at the way the front bumper is fitted it's not square There is a gap on the passenger side that isn't on the drivers side, suggesting the twist is still there

My thoughts exactly.......

......and he also looks like a trader so he must be very careful not to fall foul of the same of goods act!

Richard:no:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

you dont have to mention to anyone if it is a cat c or d unless they ask, also the bumper is just a standard bumper with the bottom cut off and something shit stuck on

thanks for the info though, may save someone some heartache
