nope it does it at any speeds i'm sure of it

i will find the speaker and disconect it .. lol

Lift the top of the dash cover off and its a little black box to the left behind the dash binnacle but attached to a bracket on the main dash. It also does the lights left on bong, but no great loss lol

its not coming from behind the clocks tho .. the sound for the lights/door/belt is fine

as thats a Bong Bong sound only ..

This is coming from the passenger side and its a Faint Bong ..Bong ...............Ping

mmm strange one that, you sure its not more like a gurgling sound? that sounds like it could be a bong......ping

after years of willing K12's and P32l's to shut the God-damn £uck up evertime I got in/ got out/ left the handbrake on or off/left the keys in or near/ lights on or dipped/door open door or tailgate ajar/boot cover not in-place/fuel low/keys still in ignition/MIL lamps kicking in/tyre pressure to high...(irriatating to the hole if this is your job, I assure) I can only say... you sure it isnt an after market alarm loosing its senses? hahahahahaha but best if luck.. I used to kinda know someone called Mark Derby...... real scared of spiders too.

well thats the only thing i can think off as its got Toad system plus Tracker

gonna take a look behind the passenger kick plate

nope .. i'm not that daft .. its an electrical sound .. lol

I dont think its electrical. Behind the passenger side of the dash, you have the Ac unit, could have air trapped or needs regassing.

You did say it only made the noise when driving?

The reason i mentioned gurgling, although i should have been a bit clearer with the description, you can get water trapped in the aiv tanks

Try and see if you can record the sound and post it up, especially if you think its electrical, apart from alarm system as suggested it could be a new one to file in the faq section

Ok its speed related ..

30mph i get bong bong

35ish i got Ping ..

60mph bong bong

65ish bing ..

but will only do it if i have come to a stop and then set off again ..

all so it will cut the sound to my Head unit on driver speaker but sound still comes out of the passenger side

Mark

bong bong Ping

bong bong bing

That's the Lithuanian entry for this weekend's Eurovision Song contest, isn't it? Bit too close to the Monaco one to win, methinks.

Imports have a Speed chime at about 60'ish mph upwards. But the speaker is behind the Speedo clocks.

Any beeping sounds coming from the passenger side will be aftermarket.

I'm really irritated as I can't find the real reference to the speed which triggers the Japanese speed warning chime. Their limit is 100kmh (62mph) but I have seen other refs to the chime being at 105kmh (65mph) or 109kmh (68mph). On my old S1, I think IIRC it was at 68mph but don't take that as gospel.

My S3 also has a reversing bing.

But I'm pretty sure Yowser is right as neither come from the passenger footwell. First I've heard of that. You haven't got a Soprano special have you?

the sound comes out of the passenger speaker when it does it .. but for some reason it cuts out the driver speaker

it does this with the Head unit On or Off so its not coming from that ...

there must be some thing wired in to the loom for this its not coming from behind the clocks at all as its diffrent sound and place

Do you still have the original bose speaker system in place? If so each one had its own amp IIRC, you may have a short somewhere causing your problem.
