I used to have a TT (auto) and I found it pretty impractical for living in London. I only really got the turbo happening properly on straight motorway type roads and the car always felt like it wanted to 'go' more round town which I found frustrating if I'm honest. I know there is a big difference in power but is the N/A still a 'good drive' and fun?

To be fair, even with a few lbs of boost on an NA engine would have a huge impact, obviously being such higher compression than a TT is going to make a huge difference, infact wasnt there an NA converted using a rear mounted turbo, STS was the company? That was a fair project! Easy to change the turbo as well :D

Much Easier, Cheaper and more efficient to fit stock TT parts to an NA engine - Manifolds, Turbochargers, piping,.etc and run on a low boost pressure.

main decider for me was the fact that there wasnt much difference in MPG between the NA and TT, as long as your not boosting every second!

I think we've got off subject! This wasn't supposed to be a dick measuring contest but a relevant question to owners/drivers for both about the pros and cons!

its strayed but all good info, however (imo) bhp, mod capacity and fuel capacity are all items that some would consider for sure before deciding, besides its getting harder to find a zed thats not had some sort of mod

yeah they could have been combined ...but both have good posts i think so prob best leave as is :/
