I know the hubs fit on an S14 because the guy who owned my Z before me took the front hubs and discs and stuck them on his S14, not S14a, but if the parts between the S14 and the a are interchangable, then yes. lol

The hubs are identical on the s14 and s14a so the hubs off the z32 should fit as well. The z32 rear brake assembly is a common upgrade on the s body but does the diff and drive shaft fit also?

Not too sure, does the S14/S14a have HICAS?

I'm glad this question has come up, my mate has a S14a with a noisy diff and I told him he is welcome to my TT diff if he wants it! he's also trying to find out so hopefully someone will get an answer. :thumbup1:

I've asked te question on SXOC as well, will keep you posted!

That might make the difference? I would have thought this might be a common upgrade if so, is there a reason you want the Z32 diff on your S14a?

a TT diff ratio is 3.67, an NA is 4.08 (approx values from memory)

my mate thinks his S14a is 4.09 or there abouts, so if it does physically fit it may adversely affect acceleration slightly but will improve top end?

I'm building an s14a with an RB25det lump dumped in. My old silver TT rusted out and i'm breaking her so just wondered if any of the parts would be an upgrade over the s14a parts etc?

Cool! My main reason was to find out if the actual diff and drive shafts off a z32 were stronger than the OEM s14a ones. As i will be running 460bhp+ eventually.....

Yes the 300zx TT setup is stronger, but the Diff wont physically fit and the Driveshafts are a different length.

The Z TT uses a R230 rear diff. The s14a uses a R200 (same as 300zx NA but with different input and output flanges).

Its bigger, the way mounts it to the subframe differs, it wont fit up to the sx propshaft or the sx driveshafts, and the z driveshafts are longer - Z has a wider track than the sx.

Noted, but I am having a custom prop made due to an RB conversion so do you think the diff can be adapted to fit an s14a subframe? I am fitting the z32 hubs so the drive shafts will fit but with an increased track.

how about swapping the guts? the 200sx doesnt have LSD does it?

The s14a does have a LSD, but a friend off mine runs an r32 diff and drive shafts on an s14a with a RB25det engine, gear box and a custom prop.

It would take a lot of custom work.

But you'll also lose a fair bit of acceleration from the 3.69 ratio. Even if it was a straight bolt in, I would'nt reccomend it becuase of this. You may get a little extra top speed (that you'll never really use) but it will take longer to get there.

A great modification for the TT is to swap the entire rear subframe, diff, driveshafts to the R200 setup from a NA to improve performance. The opposite to what your looking to do.

There are plenty of high powered SX's and Skylines, running the same R200 diff setup the S14a has.

The R32 runs a Shortnose R200 setup, like the S14a, 300zx NA, R33 GTST & GTR ...etc

All Standard shortnose R200's are as strong as each other and I believe they all use the same thickness driveshafts too.

There are some differences in gearing and input/output flanges though between models.

Another good thing about the R200 setup is there are more aftermarket LSD options in that fitment, compared to the R230.
