Hi guys,

Can anybody tell me if the EGR valve has been removed and a plenum bypass has been done?

Also, how would I go about cleaning this up, plenum and block etc while this is sitting waiting to be put in?

I bought this with everything on for £500 with tubs and all!

35,000 miles only... Guy paid £4000 for the engine but the car was rotten.

..... Now I've got it lol :gunsmilie:

Just got to wait for my mate to get an engine off his engine stand *licks lips*

Thanks for the help,

Ant

Congrats on the purchase mate. The EGR valve is still there but it's easy to remove with the engine out. I can't say for sure if the plenum bypass has been done, have a look at the throttle bodies there is an inlet and outlet at the bottom front. If this is still connected up then no. Again though much easier to do with the engine out.

No to the EGR and with the plenum looks like they have done somthing funny looking at the pipes

so i would say no to both lol!!

cool and thanks, what is the point of a plenum bypass?

How comes the plenum has a water feed anyhow? lol

It was to stop the throttle bodies freezing up! Not really a concern, removing the pipes reduces the risk of a water leak, simplifies things a bit and makes it easier removing the plenum in the future.
