Pick this 300ZX-TT up today for a tidy some of 2k

FSH to much paper work/recipts

No Tax but 12m MOT ..

All Standard on engine but has a Mongoose exhaust system

Full Kenwood Headunit/Satnav speaker system

Needs a nice Clean and Polish as its got Tree Sap and Grime

 

is there any thing i should be looking out for

and how well do thay respond to a remap alone

there is only one garage i will take it to if there is a problem and that where i'm getting it from as thay been looking aftet it for some years now

 

its strange what happens only went in to get my Nos Bottle filled up and Left with a Nissan 300zx ...

 

mind you i see it all the time .. in my shop customers come in to by some fuel for the RC car and leave with a Brand new one

Makes no real difference - only slight differences between them. With the age of these cars you buy on condition rather than anything else. Although I do have a soft spot for the UK cars :cool3:

any good as there is others and i dont want to take it to stupid HP just yet .. but give it a nice Power up ont he standed engine ..

if you have a mongoose exhaust the next step would be intake and chip with boost

it cant be remaped from the diagnostic port unless you have a romulater piggy backed into the ecu , the ECU will need to have the chip removed and a new socket fitted then a remapped chip, or you could take it to John Dixon who can re map the origional ECU eeprom and does a great job by all accounts....with map , boost upgrade to 12 - 13psi intake and exhaust you would be looking at 360 at the wheels ( border line for clutch slip though ) ...in all honesty i would upgrade the brakes , headlights and clutch first ....

ok that all sounds good .. the chip thing isnt a problem i can do that ...

yes was going to sort out the air filteration side of things ..

would the chip alone raise the boost or would i have to use a controler and gauge to di it manual ?

 

i have played with turbos but thats on my Mondeo thats uses a Vac-VNT Turbo not a normal wastgate type

cheapest way is boost jets , Mig welding tips ..there is a how to somewhere but a electronic boost controller profec B etc is best

does any one know what the auto box is good for ?

 

and who is this John Dixon and how much does he charge ?
