I have managed to pick up a pair of leather seats for my Z with electric drivers side, but my car being a 95 model has manual seats.

There is some wiring under the seats, but I presume this is just seatbelt sensors and doesn't have a live feed, or if it did wouldn't be man enough to supply juice to the seat motor ?

Were would be the best point to take off a supply for them (I presume I only need a fused +ve feed and can earth on the seat rail mounting bolt) ?

As you said, a permanent fused live feed and an earth point are all you need. Wire the seatbelt tensioner to the one you already have and your good to go.

You may be pleasantly surprised - double check the loom. Not sure if you mean that electric seats weren't an option in 95....but my 89 that had manual seats in has the plug for an electric drivers seat - the power connections on the manual seat were just blanks though.

Yep I am not sure if it was an option or just discontinued in later years, but the seats currently in are not electric, they do have some wires underneath which I presume are just for the seat belt sensors.

So what I would like to know is were is the best/most convenient place to take a power feed from if their is not one already their ?

Ok it seems my plug for the seat belt sensors plugs straight in and works the power for drivers seat too :)

Oddly, the passenger side seat has different plugs, but unless a passenger seatbelt light is a requirement for the MOT, I won't worry.
