have a good read through the for sale threads, breakers, everything has been sold there, it'll give you a good idea, as for a guide, don't think so mate...

good call.... ebay prices are often way too expensive, most people selling parts on here are reasonable and pitch at the right level.

so have you got anything interesting on your breaker lol?

Bit of dilema really. Bought it a while back for few bits and was going to do it up and sell. Pretty striaght car but needs turbos replacing but have replacments ready. Lots of history and drives fine. but once I got it into garage and started working on it, I discovered the dreaded sill rot in a big way!!

Almost a shame to break it but the welding work and parts needed just too much cost / hassle and I have a nice tidy Z already.

It is a shame, I'm breaking my UK Z at the mo due to rust, but I have an import NA that I'm swapping bits into in the process :D

I dont like to see what is essentially a good car go to waste but like you I'll be snaffling bits for mine and will probably keep a few bits for the future.

Remember to allow a percentage for warranty and enough to cover the cost of the product liability insurance you would be advised to take out if you are making any profit on the parts.

Yes no problem, when an individial sells "for profit" on a "regular or time arranged " basis selling safety related parts may fall in to the area where product liability responsibilty can or may apply.

In easy terms if you sell a part say a used brake caliper or master cylinder or wheel / tyre or even a supension arm that could if after been fitted by the purchaser failed due to been a faulty or inadaquate part and the failure caused harm or injury to the buyer or a third party, the seller could may be held responsible, this is what product liability caters for.

New parts have been tested by the manufacturer and deemed safe so any responsibility passes to them, used parts is the sellers responsibility.

If you avoid selling safetly related part though you will be fine, in fact to get singular used parts cover would be difficult for a private individial anyway so just tread careful and you will be fine.
