i think i may need a new injector or im thinking of selling her :no:. I recently set my timing to 15 tdc and the next day i had a misfire. its coming from the passenger side front cylinder. check plugs and coils and all fine. swapped over etc. when i took off that injector wire engine stays the same. so im guessing its the injector, tried cleaning up the connections but still the same. im starin to get sick of sorting stupid wee problems out!!

run a multimeter over the injector and ohm it you should get a resistance of around 13/14 i believe dont quote me on that. highter or lower and it has failed open or shut and is no longer funtioning. however check the connection itself quite common corrosion has got inside.

Had one pack up on me last week, spoke to Jeff at Zedworld and he sent me a second hand injector not too expensive, put it in using the dremmil method and car running O.K. again.

Hi sandy mate. I've been staying with my gf in denny and using her car cos she works beside me in Cumbernauld. I'm seriously contemplating selling her! Interested? Haha. I'm scared to drive it when it's misfiring, will it not cause any damage?

i would not drive it untill you have the misfire diagnosed .

Cheers, spoke to Jamie at Zworld and he said it's very coincidental that my injector gies the day after adjusting timing. So going to check ptu and the injector ohmage tonight.

The timing seems to have moved to almost 30 tdc. No matter how hard I hit it the bloody thing won't go back the way! Help.

Forget previous message!! car wasn't warmed up yet! Doh!! I've ran a multimeter over offending cylinders injector. After a lot of cleaning I finally got a reading of 2.odds ohms. Other side has 0.13 so I'm guessing knackered injector? Anyone got a spare one? Cheers

yeagh iv got one

sounds like it. you can also do the screwdriver check run the engine and listen down the shaft you should hear it clicking. uniformly with the others.

All fixed guys!! got one from nissan, done the old dremel technique and now running sweet as a nut. Thing is i was away looking at a skyline when my car was running fine, then when i got back it started misfiring!! She must not want me to sell her hahaha!!
