As above, sounds like a speaker buzzing, could it just be a vibration?

i have had that does the light work? i replaced the buld and it was fine, so worth a try!!

I beleive there is a small fan in there, part of the AC I think. Sure someone wil confirm

It will be the little fan, most get like that, mine is removed and made no difference to the climate control, or you can get a working one from JeffTT

its the air con fan inside it that statrt to buzz if it sticks

probably jarred the fan and it started to spin again. mine started making a buzzing sound a couple of years ago a short sharp thump and its worked fine ever since LOL

To be fair I only heard it when it was ticking over, when I test drove it you could only hear the note of the N/A engine and the screams of the trader I bought it from when I was making sure the auto box did as it was told:lol:

yep could of just jolted it then, it done it for ages from purchase then as soon as buld replaced gone!

yup - its an aspirator fan - draws air in over an interior temp sensor to measure the interior temperature. without the fan the sensor will still do the same thing but may get a little heat soaked.

 

You probably wont even notice it not working!

Quisk spray of wd40 will cure the problem, but just a small amount. Otherwise you will have WD40 rain in you car

I had the same problem, tends to happen when its lose. There is a bolt you can tighten in the middle of the fan that fixed it for me

Steve, I know its solved, but i spent a whole day trying to find out the location of the exact same sound, only for my daughter to stick her head around the door jamb and point to the same place and ask "whats that sound" Grrrrr... so when i saw this post i did :rofl:
