need to replace some badly corroded brake lines, does anybody have a set of brake pipe bending pliers that i could beg borrow or steel, ( i have a decent flaring kit allready)

Never used pliers as the pipes are that easy to bend with your hands!

Personly i'd use the pipe pliers if it involves any tight or sharp bends to avoid kinking. I have none to lend though, sorry.

you can buy one for well under a tenner from your local hardware shop, then you've got it forever then, I haven't got one to lend, been meaning to buy one for years!

thanks, but im looking for tube bending pliers... they are a bit like bull nose pliers with a notch cut out on the back of them

Hi sayers.if your using copper you will not need a pipe bender.The copper is soft enough to bend without them..ive replaced lots of brake pipes over the years and never had a problem.Lee

no, im going to be using cunifer , copper is not reccomended and banned in some countries

kunifer is a copper/nickel mix its only a little harder than just copper alone but still bendable w/out tube benders.also apply a little heat with a hot air gun makes it easier to use..lee

Well ive used copper ones on my zed and no problems and bend it by hand its not hard

hand bend it use your thumbs to guide the radius feed the bend through your thumbs as you bend it and it wont kink

I used one of these for bending the 90deg angles I needed when I did my brake lines. As said though the majority of the bending can be done by hand.
