Looks really great Young Fella. But big mistake as the heat will destroy them, beleave me.Plus you have bonded them on so your gonna be well fooked.I bought them mirror finnish plastic ones years ago when God was a little lad.You are surposed to just fix them on via velcro so you can just put them on at a show then remove easily after.Hence that is why I made all mine out of polished stainless then bonded them on with Sikaflex permenatly. But like I said you have made a cracking job.

Picture it, its a dark night pissing down with rain, your miles from nowhere with the misses in the car and your fan belt lets go. Luck has it you have a spare, whilst fitting it your soaking wet, the misses wont stop moaning then the spanner slips off the adjuster bolt and you take 3 knuckles off and drop the spanner somewhere on the road, you scream with anger and as you look up all you see is you.:cursing:

LOL, I got called Jonny Bravo today:biggrin:

I`m really surprised you havent done this little mod Paul???

lol, I made cardboard templates of each shape, bought a sheet of arcylic mirror and cut each shape out on my router table, and glued on with mirror adhesive :tt2:

i used to work with this stuff many moons ago . it looks good daz but i think you are going to have issues with the heat warping the panels and blistering the coating on the back . also what tends to happen is a crazing effect from the edges . hopefully the quality of the materials has moved on in the last 20 years and you dont have these issues . be carefull how you clean it too mate as the surface is quite soft and prone to scratching.

looks very nice though , well done . you really are turning that car into a show stopper

Thanks Andy, totally understand about the product, I explained to the supplier that it was for under the bonnet and may get hot and he said it would be fine (but he would say that) but to be honest it only cost £38 for all the stuff so not too bothered if i have to replace it every year or even better (like king of bling mentioned) get some stainless ones made, I will see how it goes, but your right it does scratch easily, CheerZ bud :thumbup1:

nay worries, mine are made from acrylic (plastic safety mirror) but it may perish with the heat ect, so polished stainless may be the best option?, not sure of the cost but I can find out and get you some made if you wish:devil:
