well that didnt take long...........

Well i would first like to say hello to everybody i have recently purchased a z32 twin turbo manual and have had it less than a week and today got caught speeding!!!!!!!!

oh has anyone every had exceding 70mph on there ticket before? i thought they had to put your speed down? also he had me as i came onto the motor way and i pulled over as soon as i see him so he didnt have time to follow me and do the whole follow me for a mile thing and record my speed? be nice if i could get away with it!!!!!!!!!

If they had a radar gun or incar camera they would be able to tell you the exact speed you were doing, i think being told you were exceeding 70mph is a bit vague and if thats all they have to go on, then i would let it go to court, if it gets that far. The amount of miles per hour over the legal limit enables the judge to set the fine accordingly.

I would seek legal advice on this as you may be lucky and have a case against.

And Welcome to the club:thumbup1:

na no radar gun i had a nice little chat on the side of the motor way with the copper who was actually training a fellow police bike rider so im guessing he wouldn't have his camera on. Im thinking of requesting prof of speed in a week or so and see what they come back with!

Motor way and traffic police have calibrated speedo's and even on training they will have the camera rolling as they are still on duty anyway. Ask for the evidence anyway as they have to supply it for your solicitor
