my mate made a turn for the worse a last year!, he was drinking nite before and was over the limit the next morning!, he went out in his dad's Jag S type v6 and ended up crashing! was going way too fast!, went straight into a nissan 350z just found the old pics, he has more than learnt his lesson! lead to serious charges!

At first glance I was not sure whether this type of post was welcome on the public forums.

However as I don't condone drink driving, I reckon this could serve as a serious warning to us all. I feel for the woman who's car your mate drove into and hope she made a full recovery.

I sincerely hope that your mate has learned his lesson. I also hope that the authorities threw the book at him for his reckless and irresponsible behaviour.

I've moved this to non-Z related though; and if anyone takes offence at the pictures it will be removed completely.

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Apologies if i have posted wrong i just wish to show that jumping into a car the next morning after a night on the slash what can become and i sincerly hope everyone takes note of this i had to go down there and sort things out as they were both rushed off!, was not a pleasent place to be! and could of led to worse!

Why would you post this?

You could say that about alot of posts on here, everyone has different interests and personalities which make this place tick.

And serves as a very real warning to others.

Well said. I totally agree with you.

Agreed. And noted.

To clarify, at first I was thinking along the lines that Richard was. Apologies to 'cbvd' and I hope no offence is taken. Like he says, a wake up call for all of us.

I completely agree, drink driving is one of the stupidest things anyone can do. My parents both got done for it before they even met each other, and are both now adament about not doing it.

I will drink a beer with dinner and drive home, but no strong stuff, no more than one, and I must be eating. I don't drink much, but when I do drink it's JD and I go through half a bottle or more, as a result, I just don't drive for two days.

Hope the people in the 350Z were ok, looks a wreck.

i think taht if you sharing this makes one person think its worth while having on here. i never drive teh day after ive been down the pub. and i wont even have half a pint if im driving. for this very reason. wouldnt want the weight on my concioence taht simply not drinking could have prevented it all.

i agree totaly drinking and driving is just reckless....it costs many lives every year and much more mysery for years there after.......when i was 17 and had my mini clubman , i had been out with the lads for some "shandies" after Karate ....underage drinking i know..but i supose most lads have done it .....got home at 11pm felt fine felt sober had only drank 6 pints ....decided to take my car for a spin as this drink driving rubbish as i thought then was all talk..besides as i said i felt fine and sober....got in and drove off...only got about 200 yards a cat ran in front of me i lost control mounted the pavement only feet away from a man and wife walking home from the club .....it could have been much much worse...i simply in my state had not seen them.....i have NEVER even had a half if iam driving and will not drive the next day if ive had a skin full......

Mind you, in a way it's a shame for your mate because a lot of people assume once they wake up the next day (despite feeling rough) are sober enough to drive. And a lot of people are also in the position that they have to drive home for work etc. I bet it was a shocker of a wake up call for him though and the punishment was deserved as he was in the wrong.

I love Dazverts first reply though 'poor 350' with a poor wummin being stretchered away in the same picture :D
