Location of ecu

Hi.

 

While my car is parked up waiting for a clutch, were is the ecu located is it the same as an impreza passenger footwell, will it have a code on it which I will know to be the ecu, just wanting to see if it chipped as the car is new to me.

 

if it has a chip will the aftermarket chip have a stamp on it ect so I know.

Passenger footwell, behind the kick plate (wooden bit) might be bolted on still.

 

Pull back the passenger side carpet (its velcro down) and remove the wooden kick plate, you will see it behind there, big metal box with a large connection of cables going to it.

cheers thought so got the plate off and got the ecu out the the ecu has differnt screws in it so i think its been out before would a chip have a different stamp or sticker on it?

Yes vods you certainley are:-) lol, would a genuine nissan normal chip have a stamp or I will never know lol, may be one of the causes of it running rich.

 

pm jeff a few time regarding cost of welding ect and no response but he is busy, thank god for vods lol
