What one would you recommend guys? I like a glossy finish as opposed to matt for the tyres. I have been using Demon Shine detailer and am happy with the results but wondered what you guys recommend for this also. Thanks in advance.

Hi Daffy, I use auto glym tyre polish mate, really easy to use and lasts well, just put some on last night, can be applied to wet or dry tyres:yes:

Just bought some and applied it. I like :cool3: And it's all on 3 for 2 at Halfords.

Ive tried loads over the years and the best i found is Amourall gloss finish, spray it on and leave it ,it's shinear than my bold head on a sunny day and thats very shiney indead.

I use the 501 stuff from the pound shop. gives a nice shine and lasts about 6 weeks :)

Been using this for years. Comes out as a white foam. Spray on wet or dry, and leave it. job done.

Tried others that you spray on as liquid, or brush on - never been as good as the Armorall.

6 WEEKS!!!!!

What do you do? Put the tyres in a vacume sealed bag after treating them lol

Car Plan Tyre Slick is damn good - it has won the Auto Express "best in class" product award for about a thousand years running now......

Otherwise I reckon Turtle Wax Platinum cream is very good - also Meguiars Tyre Shine or Turtle Wax "Wet N Black" do a nice job and last well.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel for tyres, awesome stuff. And Meguiars Last Touch for a quick detailer, which can be diluted down quite a lot to make it last.

All these replies and everyone forgot you also asked about a quick detailer too.......:tt2:

I use Meguairs NXT or Turtle Wax Ice detailing spray to refresh the bodywork between washes, or remove contaminants from the paintwork. Both work for me!!

This was her after a wash and earlier today. Thanks for the recommendations guys. I like the sound of the gel, but like the price of the first ebay link lol. Bought some of the meguiars NXT quick detailer aswell as the AG tyre dressing.

Peach, would you advise using the quick detailer between washes? My car gets really dusty, really quickly where I park. Worried about getting swirling though.
