yes alot of people have said that with not really knowing anything about them. People with them fitted on zeds as well have had no problems and been using them for years and because of those different views i really dont want to discuss that :)

Out of interest, why do you want to restrict the car mate?

its launch control not restriction therefore you can be foot flat to the floor and max revs would be 3k for dragging until you drop the handbrake then full rev limit is restored

ah, right. I've got that on my racelogic traction control. I thought it was some sort of engine power restricter.

Ah righty ho as i dont have abs on the slickie to fit any type of traction control would be a pain as i would need sensors on the hubs and id like to learn drifting at some point so no good for me :)

i had one on my skyline, it never caused me any problems other then 7ft flames out of the exhaust. I beleive they cut spark to cylinders which can never be a good thing?

as far as i know Bee R rev run from a switch on your clutch pedle and cuts the spark to one or more plugs they are good for flat foot shifting as it puts a fake revlimiter on there for keeping your tubo spool up and a much quicker gear shift

its brill for track use ie launching if you can not drive as such and just the little thing anti lag works by puting fule into the turbo and exploding ie this is the poping and banging you get from rally cars grate for boost but crap for your turbo

give and take a little a turbo a race depending on the amount of anti lag

oh gonzo if you want to lern to skid come and see me at pod on the skid pan

(300zx are brill for skidding) a lot of people say they are to big and heavy just put them on the wate wachers diet lol

you can hook it up to your handbrake as well for launching and yes it does cut spark to the cylinders. Was just looking at wiring one up to the zed and found instructions on the US site that just does not seem right. They have the rev wire going to the crank angle sensor 120 deg input and the spark wire going to the crank angle sensor 1 deg input. That just seems odd to me.

Oh and on the lines of drifting my slickie is pretty light as it is being a 2 seater plus NA subframe so solid back end :)

The problem is they sometimes cause engines to run like shit even when installed correctly if you bounce off the limiter for more than a few seconds. Mine used to run like a bag of crap for 10-20 seconds and sometimes stall after jumping off the Bee*R

was that on a zed?

^ yup, and I know of 3 other Z owners who had exactly the same problem. And 1 owner from a skyline. But there's others who have had it run fine - faulty hardware possibly but most likely a confused ECU or something like that.

bringing this back to life XD, I had a bee r on my celica, never had a problem, however using it on my zed it causes huge flames but when it comes back down to idle it sometimes sounds like its running on 4 or 5 cylinders for a bit

I personally think it could be back pressure maybe in the pipes???

bringing this back to life XD,

No, please don't. :p

They're damn awful things! lol

Haha, don't know why they make the cars run like rubbish though :/

They're just pointless. :) Like dump valves and all other such purposeless devices. ;)

Is your a genuine one? Mine is and I've never had a problem with it.

It's on my daily drive zed, been on it for over a year now.

Yeah it's a real one as far as I know. Paid a hundred and summat for it

Oh I see :O

Don't understand how some people have problems and others don't?

I can't remember how I wired it in, did have a nissan manual in front of me at the time,

my rev counter doesn't work, so it stops me reving too high, ( get a bit carried away) it's set about 6 k I think, tbh I don't sit there bouncing off it, Normally hit it whilst accelerating it pops and I change gear, suppose I should get a shift light really but this is more fun.

Just like to point out my zed was a cheap bit of fun and wouldn't dream of fitting it to my tt slicktop.

They're useful for getting off the line at Santa Pod. Well, they were until Nistune released the new mappable launch control feature that utilises either the standard fuel cut or the ignition cut like the Bee*R.

Now, they are a complete waste of time. Plus, the majority of them are snides. There was a guy selling them for decent money on Facebook as genuine items despite buying them for about £30 each from China. For genuine, you need to go to RHD or Nengun. Expect anything else to be FAKE.
