hey guys , i have a problem with my drivers window , at first it was very tempremental but then stopped going down atall , i have had a look at the relay and opend it and it works when manualy earthed out , the passenger side workes when controlled from drivers side switch panel or passenger side . i was just wondering if the relays are a common fault or could it be the switch panel itself ???????????????

The control box in the drivers door usually fails, is this what you have checked?

do you mean switch ( control ) bit ? i have took the door card off and got to the black box (relay ) that is the bit i have checked !!

You could try spraying some contact cleaner into the switch, it may be dirty contacts that are causing the problem.

We checked the relay and operated the relay manually and window works but the window switch itself wont trigger the relay therefore not operating the window so not sure which is broke ???.

so do u have anything to add jeff lol I think u have done plenty of work on my car in the past by the previous owner ! there a 2k engine replacement gbox clutch etc :p would part a pic up but am sure you have worked on that many lol
