Water Injection

I'm wondering if anybody's running water injection system here. I'd appreciate any leads, tips, etc.

I'll be considering this for one of my cars, as a 'low cost' project (using old automotive/misc. parts).

Thanks.

Ahmet

I have really looked into this , and its about %50 touch and go, i have heard so many conflicting reports about it. It is in no way something that enhances performance, just something of a safety net.

Look at aquamists website, and it will ring you a thousand lines about this and that.

Have yet to see it in any form on a very powerfull 300zx or skyline.

Has no one considered intercooler waterspray systems?

I would have thought all you money bags would have gone for a waterspray system. hehe wink.gif

Waterspray does give better performance on a longish run.

Well lets not kid ourselves, in this weather i doubt youll really benefit form it, besides to have a proper water spray system, the tank in the boot will out weigh the performance advantage you get out of it.

And for the ammount of performance the majority of people have, youd be far better of using the money somewhere else on the car. biggrin.gif

hell im bored

ok ok, been sitting around here for a while getting advice, its about time i gave some back. smile.gif

this is something I looked into many moons ago for other cars

water injection on its own does not give any real performance increase, what it does do is lower combustion temperatures allowing increased boost pressures without detonation occouring.

needs to be set up correctly or youll get a performance decrease!! (water doesnt burn very well!!! wink.gif)
