How do you fit 1wife, 1baby, 1car seat and a pram in a zed

So many zed users out there now that are already dads that this puzzle has to be solved - surely.

First off i've already made it clear the zeds not going so were safe there.

Seconds we do have another daily car but its a vw bug and the boots smaller

than whatever pram were likely gonna get.

So my question is :

HOWS IT DONE ???:scared:

Featured Replies

1. Swop the bug for something else (Golf maybe?)

2. Baby seat in the front (wont go in the back), wife in the back, get a small pram!

3. Go out in the summer, baby in the front, wife in the back, pram out the targa!

1.) Wife won't swap the bug as its a herbie { white with 53 decals on it }

2.) Baby seat in the front is great but wife in the back just won't go unless

shes lying down but that just goes down the road of how there a baby.

3.) same applies as number 2

See my first reply!

You put the pram in the boot.

You put the baby, in the babyseat in the back seat.

You Put the wife in the passenger seat

Job done.

The Pram and the wife are the easiest bits. For the babyseat you'll need 3-point belts (UK car or do the conversion), and you'll need a seat that fits properly. There are other threads on this reccomending makes. Ours was one of those Travel system pram car seat things when kids were babies, and then a Brittac (I think) forward seat when older - Had to fill the seat recess with a cushion for the Brittac.

btw - We used to take regular weekend trips to cornwall in my previous Z. Thats 2 adults, 2 kids, Luggage for all and our Golden retriever.

Buy a system like a bebe confort loola or quinny which folds down real small. The baby will prob have to go in front so really your biggest issue will be convincing the Mrs to sit in the back!

I have a uk car, with the three point seat belts, wife in the front baby seat in the back but very tight as she is two, so the wife is in the back in the summer and baby in the front lol.

Mark

I thought the series2 onwards jap spec had 3 point rears?

my series 2 import has 3 point rear seat belts and the front seatbelts are on the pillars, I didn't know if thats how it left the factory or been converted to UK?

I get my big pram in the boot, my pram is bigger than most children's prams....lol.....Two kids in the back and the Mrs in the front......lol.

i suppose tomorrow ill be dragging the kids down to the car and get a step by step guide on this. but its pretty simple

Pram in the passenger seat. wife on the back seats, and babies in the boot.

LOL joking, pram buggy what ever in the boot, car seat in the rear, behind the passenger seat and have the passenger seat all the way forward.
