Thought i would do so overtime today and make a few extra pennies for the zed fund.

What a waste of time it was!!!!!. Got all me work done, got in car (not the zx) and headed home. Then as i was on A1 ................. BUMP, and hit a bloody huge pothole. Now theres a horrible rattle and knocking from drivers side front steering.

So tommorow looks like im gonna have to take it apart and see what the damage is. So looks like todays wage is gonna be spent fixing me alfa ready for work again. I am not a happy chap tonight.

ok bud. Am hoping its just bust a bolt so then i can just replace it and be all safe once again. Need car for monday for work.

Agree with Manta, go and get a photo of the pothole and send them the bill

agreed councils are having to face up to these responsibilties, you pay your taxes and roads of adequate standard should be provided. i read something recently about people claiming over damge to cars caused by over sized speed humps

Im gonna get my other half to dodge cars, she insured for more than me........ instant full zed fund :-)

Just so you know, unless that pot hole has been already reported, you wont get a bloody penny.

For compensation to pay out, the council must already be aware of a pot hole and not bothered filling it in, for you to be awarded compensation, my mate has just had to go through all that *****cks

Well got chance to inspect it this morning and would appear that it had just broke a bush and ejected it from the wishbone. So made a few calls and hopefully a new bush will be arriving tommorow.

Luckily may be a easy cheap repair. Just a shame that as always when we save some spare cash up, something always wants to go wrong and take it straight back off ya.

Yup - I agree as well.

The more the councils have to pay out, hopefully they'll realize it's cheaper to fix the holes:wacko:

Then again maybe not - I think they are insured for claims against them......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
