Seat belts

I find the front door mounted seat belts a pain. I'd like to move the seat belts to the body pillars. I've looked at previous posts re rear seat belts and I've have a quick look under the upper trim panels and there appears to be mounting points for the front belts belts. Does anyone have experience of moving the front belts?

Jspec doors have reinforcements for the belts and shit.. not sure it is a good idea to relocate.. why dont you like em mate,, i think they are cool as fuck meself, but then I am pissed and shouldnt really be in the techsectionn of 300zx.co.uk..L(ol(

Glen, you were larruped, he's talking about moving them off the doors.

Anyway, not done it because mine are already on the pillars, but I can't see why it should be a problem as long as they're mounted securely.

I too hate those stupid door belts and have been told a while ago that there is a mounting (retained nut) at the top of the B pillar hidden behind the trim panel for some countries that ddin't allow the door mounting. However, I dumped the idea of moving mine and went to 4 point harnesses and started bitching at passengers to check the belty had retracted before slamming the passenger door.
