changing air filters

I'm giving my zed it's 1st service since I got bought her a few weeks ago. Am I correct that I need to remove the headlight panel to gain access to the air filter box? Also will I need to replace the oil drain washer before refitting it?

Featured Replies

yes, you will need to remove the nose panel to access the airfilter, id check to make sure you do not have a aftermarket airfilter on.

As for the drain washer, you can change it as a matter of course, but normally no reason to unless its perished or its leaking.

The oil plug washer is a brass crush washer and should be changed everytime you do an oil change really, they cost pence, so not worth possible aggro of a leak later down the road.

Cheers. Is the oil plug washer something I can get from somewhere like halfords or is there a stockist I need to go to?

aaah, forgot you have brass washers on the zed lol, could of been embarrassing

Local Nissan dealer or autofactors, Halfords may have them, but wont have the 300 listed, i would imagine the 200 is listed and will be the same diameter bolt. The thread size is 12mm and the head of the bolt is 14mm. Part number 11026-01M02
