HI All,

Getting the engine oil and gearbox oil changed on Saturday and looking at the filters.

I have a 1995 N/A Auto

Which of these Filters would be better

K&N

Genuine Nissan

Also, Is semi synthetic or fully synthetic oil the best to use in our engines?

Finally, does the auto gearbox have an oil filter that will need changing?

Cheers

Peter

Considering the price of Nissan parts have risen, i think the K&N filter is a good bet, a few on here have bought them. If the OEM was still around fiver, i know which i would have gone for lol.

Semi synthetic is best and the auto box doesnt have a replaceable filter, it has an oil strainer etc inside the sump of the box.

I know what you are saying there Dave but i think the K&N and Wix performed fairly well in tests ;) and the wix is supposed the most original to the nissan design before changed

ADL Blueprint do one ADN12103 fits both NA and TT and shouldnt set you back any more than £3 to £4 at any good car parts shop

Mines ran on Blueprint filters for nearly 10 years with no probs.
