i am thinking of putting new down pipes on will be makeing my own but ......

I have noticed that there seems to be two litle pipes on the left and right one seems to go up behind the spry gard or s**t shild and one disapiear up the enj bay do you need them and or what are they for ?

Avi pipes you can delete them so no biggy

Sorry was on the iphone replying, its AIV's heres how to remove them properly, but you do not acctually have to go this far

The AIV's are intended to help reduce emissions. They help move air, from the manafold to the exhaust and try to help reduce the emissions that are coming from your tail pipe.

 

But if your modifying your exhaust, you pretty much make the system redundant, and mine still passed the MOT emissions test with out it. also will get rid of a annoying gurgling sound later on, if you don't already have it that comes from your front wings (don't ask)

 

The system only works when the car is idling.
