Hello Z lovin buddies !

I have no clue how many on here still remmember me from back in the day - but i was the original founder of this site and community back in 98. how times have a changed...

Anyway awesome to see the community is still thriving and these awesome cars are still being loved and looked after.

I'm selling my Z back in the UK as i have moved to Canada - i need to shift it pretty quick, so its listed on ebay currently - i'd really love it to goto a member of the community tho so it would have a good home - I musta sunk 20K + into this vehicle over the years, and harldy drove it - i did most of the work on it myself and bought only the best parts i could find at the time :

Appolgoies for spamming the wrong forum with the sale link but i hope ya'll will forgive me for old times sake...

Any of the old skool peeps still on here then ? I think i saw a post from 'little' Mac somewhere ( seeing as im on the otherside of the pacific i feel i can get away with a little cheek there m8 lol )

Z ya

Nico

Fookin el - is that Craigy boi, my old admin buddy from back in the day rite there ?!! Hows it going pal ? I didn't drop off the planet - just the continent lol - and yeah the old boy has been sat in my workshop ever since being babyed for all these years !

Have hardly had time to post anywhere as been busy with my own business for a fair few years then made to the move to BC - so only starting to take stock of my shit rite about now... and sadly to say i have just bought a new Charger over here lol - shuold proove fun on the mountain roads with that woefull american handling !

And fair enough Re the Link Gaz - i couldn't actually find a link to register anywhere... Send me one on - of if anyone is interested in a project car with lots of tuning parts go ahead and email me.

And Ajuj12 - the 60K kit is still boxed from Courtesy Nissan, It contains all the cambelts, tensioners, Water pump ( i think ) and gasketts and seals - basically everything needed to do the full Nissan 60K service - i won't do anything to the car before it sells no - as the last car i sold more people were interseted in buying it for the boxed parts rather than the car itself which u can make a tidy profit selling on individiuall if you have the time and space !

Cheers

Nico

You mean come and have a look in person ?

Yeah sure - let me know when would work and i'll line it up for u ! U can message me thru Ebay too !

Nico!: Now, there's a legacy forum name from the past!

We just need Andy Duff, Ajay, TimmyTurbo and good-ol-Warren aka '300z' here for some old-skool lively banter!

I thought you took Gary's over-zealous application of 'the rules' rather well!

In my opinon, you and Craig should have an honorary full memberhip!

Simon.

All affiliates of this site have a debt of gratitude for the likes of Nico and Craig: without them, this site wouldn't be as it is today. For everyday folk (not traders), the out of touch rules on only being allowed sell if you're a paid up member is nothing short of blackmail and ought to be changed. You're turning away honest sellers who will ultimately go on to sell their vehicle or parts through another channel which, frankly, doesn't really cause them any hardship. On the other hand however, the rule actually denies all members, paid up or otherwise, from picking up some good bargains which, most likely, end up selling for more on eBay!

Hi WillyEd thats an intresting rant, can I just reply by saying that I did not make the rules but as a moderator of this club which cares for all its members I can not show favouritism to any member as in giving them privileges which others have paid for it would be so wrong.Plus the thought of having banned members back on the site is not a good idea either they let this site down badly and some of our members are still suffering from there actions.

In short I find your comments not very funny or intelligent and if you still cared for this club your imput would be more postive.

To end with I hope you can reflect on your rant and see the error of your comments and make amends by joining in our comunity with all your zed knowledge to help people who are new to the club.

As far as im aware, we do not black mail people into subscribing, we offer incentives, people are free to sell their items else where if they so wish. yes you could see it as "people will miss out on a bargain" but then the subscription fee offers more than just the ability to sell.

Also, the selling rule as far as I'm aware, was introduced to protect our members not punish them, there were a few instances before it was brought into effect, where people were being ripped off a good one, by one advert bandits. so was brought in to limit the sales to people who genuinely want to be a part of the community.

Now as far as the rules go, the site is under different management, they set the rules, we enforce them. just like any forum that changes hands. we do not discriminate, and we give no benefits just because someone set it up ages ago and now is no longer a part of the initial running of the club.

As a long time member, I'm sure you should understand these simple principles.

As for the banned member you have named, he was rather damaging to this fragile community and action was taken to protect our members.

I remember Nico from way back in the day before you had to subscribe to view the site, alas he will not know my user name.

I also agree that we should honour him with a full time membership, if that's what he would like.

As for WillyEd, a couple of points......

"In my opinon, you and Craig should have an honorary full memberhip!"....Craig already has a honorary membership, if you came on more often you'd know that anyway!

And as for your 'Rant' well having been here yourself so long you should be more than aware of the problems we have had in the past regarding 'registered' members selling and then not supplying the goods, so that is where these 'rules' come from, it's to protect the membership!

Its amazing who is lurking out there:shuriken:just watchin and waiting, to come out of the wood work when an old member pops up:euro::clap:

Willy, I respect the fact that you are a very long serving member of this Club, but you have to respect the fact that there are other long serving members of this club that have been very active since practically the beginning and have never disappeared or left, and have been active members all along. We have rules on registered users selling for good reason and thats how it will remain, unless the committee vote otherwise.

So can I suggest that you put your energy into integrating yourself back in with the forum community, rather than only posting up once a year just to have a go mate.

welcome back Nico :duffer:

There seem to be a few old names poping back up recently none of which i know lol!!!!

When did this forum 1st start up?

but i was the original founder of this site and community back in 98.

Nico

Answer your question car mad?

:tongue_smilie:

Welcome back Nico! I remember being recommended to this site when I bought my first Z in 99 and although I do not post much I always enjoyed the banter especially back then!!!

Good luck with the sale and a big thanks for the effort you put in along with all the people who have carried this site on ever since.
