I,m having my Ultralite Hikari,s blasted and powder coated but i,m not sure what colour , they don,t have the stainless trim around the lip anymore , i had to remove them to get to the corrosion they were causing :crying:

Also my cars gonna be blue , what,s your thoughts ??

I have toyed with gold or even gloss black .

i reckon gold hikari's on that blue would look superb mate not really keen on black alloys tbh .

That,s what i was thinking , gold looks nice on blue but it,s a bit old now , quite like the white , good thing is if i get bored with white it,s a good colour as a base to paint on top of , the place i,m using are local and havn,t got a big range of metallic colours but loads of straight ones , i just want them powder coating so they don,t corrode like they did from new :hammer::hammer:

Have you any detail pics of them without the stainless trim???

Is it easy/hard to remove??

Is it fubared once you get it off or reuseable???

My GT2s have the trim on them. Its OK as is but Im interested what is under it??

Ayup Pete , took a few for you . The trims had to be ground off like removing a doorskin as they,re bent over the edge of the rim so they can,t be re-used , i must admit i wasn,t impressed with the amount of corrosion that started to appear , they weren,t cheap rims at £800 !!

There,s a little reccess moulded into the lip for the stainless lip to sit in.

I,ve gone for white , if i,m not keen at least it,s a good base to paint on , i,ll get some pics up next week when i fetch them .

On 19,s i agree but these are 18,s and i think it makes them look smaller than they are .:yes:
