hey all , just thought i would introduce myself . i have just purchased my first twin turbo yesterday . so far i am very impressed infact i love it already . iv always liked them but never been able to insure one untill i got abit older , now 24 !! ive been heavily into my old fords for the last 8 years !! :gunsmilie:

 

anyway fellow forum member danz300zx is a good friend of mine and after hearing his i had to have one , so within 2 weeks of him buying his 1st zed I acted like a big copy cat and bought one :laugh:

 

 

mine is the grey one in the pictures , shes a 2 owner car with full history and is all original . never missed a beat on the 230 mile trip home . there is loads of big money recipts with it with the majority of the work been done at zedworld !! i give 2k for her , whats everyones opinion on price for a car like this ? good ? bad ??

 

 

few faults

 

drivers window is tempremental and only works sometimes ??? help ??

 

 

boot spoiler is shot and probably the boot aswell ??? ( replace)

 

plans for the car = will be resprayed by myself , colour change or not i am not sure yet !! new wheels ,

 

 

and can someone advise on dump valves? how easy a job is it ? am new to turbos :)

looks nice mate. 2k is about right - I've seen em go for less, but i've also seen em go for more. Welcome by the way.

£2k is very good for a late UK model if the body work is good and the mileage isn't to astronomical.

nice looking car. as said uks can be cronic for rust get on it and go over it witha fine tooth comb esp if yoir planning to respray, prime time to cut out any rot... as for the spoiler replace it witha fibreglass item, the orginal oes soak up water then explode when they freeze hence the problem you now have. i wouldnt fit dump valves teh subjects been discussed afew times round here they tend to make the ran run worse, each to their own tho. as for turbos thats an engine out job im afraid matey...

yeah bodywork is fair to be honest , and mileage is at 106k but theres a recipt there from zed world for 2 grand in 2007 , recon engine new clutch cambelts etc etc

thanks for advice , ive been in the bodwork trade for years so shud be ok in that depatment !

 

re dump valves , i just love the noise to be hoest and there plenty of bhp to sacrifice a few lol

 

didnt mean my turbos are gone , i meant I AM NEW TO TURBOS LOL

Looks good mate, I just bought my uk TT the other day needs the rear arches sorting like I paid £650 still dont know how I paid so little lol.

that does seem a good price mate lol , i just wanted something ready to go and be a good basis to start with , i was also fussy about finding one with history !

The one I got has full service history as well, its in for mot on friday so if it goes through ok Iam well happy for the price I paid mines on a l reg as well mate.

 

got a recipt for a head light bulb £69 fitted bugger that would do it myself lol.

 

your car is a nice coulour bud.

 

Power delivery is very smooth like bud compared to my scooby.

im new to the turbo'd car too but im a sucker for the woosh of the dumpvalves. i do find it uses more fuel with them on, but only cuz im trying to hit boost all the time to hear them lol! im sure that will wear off after a few days
