Just gauging interest in this,as Im not a member at the moment,so NOT offering.

Would any of you guys be interested in having this done to your parts..pics below of the finish,Ive been flocking parts for afew year now.Posted parts/courior collected and returned coated to you.The prices would very, very reasonable to members.

Flock is nylon fibres (velvet to touch/suede-ish look)electrostatically charged to 50,000 volts(on my machine) and can be applied to plastic, metal, wood, fabric etc.If you've seen incar footage of rallycars in recent years, you'll have seen dashboards coated in black flock,to prevent dash glare on the windscreen on bright days, but any colour from reds, blues, yellows, greys, purples etc, throught to neon pink, dayglow orange down to pastel brown or powder blues are available,it is aslo great for hiding repairs done to cracked/modified trim. This is a really smart coating for dashboards, consoles, door trims, bass boxes, parcel shelves etc etc.

I (when i get around to finishing my zed!) will be doing the door trim/lower dash/console instead of the horrible grey tweed thats on it now,I know many of you get leather/vinyl trim kits for this,so flocking is another option, its very durable and hard wearing and looks fantastic.Again,Im not offering this,Im just gauging interest,if there is,Ill sign up for making things official.

P.S,very hard to photograph as the flash reflects off the fibres lol,but the parts are actually in deep black(semi-shine) flock, not purple as they look in the pics:thumbup1:Picturesfromcam106.jpgPicturesfromcam107.jpgPicturesfromcam105.jpgPicturesfromcam104.jpg

how reasonable is reasonable at the end of the day lol

Not sure if Im allowed to quote prices so appologies if Im not but Ill say tweed areas of a zed around 65quid(door trim/rear quarter/console/lower dash/glovebox cover!) and dashtops 65 quid.Pillar trim 15 etc as a guide.Thats pretty much half price or there abouts to usual. This plus your post/carriage both ways,15-30quid average UK prices.Prefer if you try (without breaking clips etc)removing switches/air vents, basically things you dont want flock going on as this saves me time, keeping my prices lower for you.How much you need coating also makes a difference, the more you need, the better deal I can do it for you.

Some before and after pics of a part you guys will recognise when you open the doors on the Zed(and also evidence that I have been doing alittle work on my own zed in the past few years since I got it! lol)

Zero,Im in Lewis mate,I use a courior based in Inverness called AJG Parcels, they have a UK wide delivery/collection network and are by far the cheapest over every other company.P.s,did i see the orange car in the pic on the M74 yesterday around 4pm?

Haha,I had a feeling it would get a delete,Graham:whistling:(no probs :blush:will sort my re sub tomorrow,as you say,i think there might be afew interested?)

I think having the boot panels flocked , although some may see as wasted on something that wont always he be on view, would be a good idea too. The plastic panels get scratched and weathered looking.

Yes, interested, please e-mail me darrenlivesley@btinternet with some rough prices unless you get subscribed, cheerZ

Hi Ady, you are now subscribed, (Chris) ck300z is the membership secretary, he will deal with your membership pack.

The next thing to do now is to PM KIM with details of the service you have to offer and it will be placed in the services for members section.

All the best

I dont know if I get a membership pack since i was subcribed afew years back?

We mentioned boot plastics,as a guide, the price i can give you for coating the following..(looking into the boot with tailgate open.)

REAR ARCH COVERS/X2,

REAR QUARTERLIGHT SURROUNDSX2

REAR TRIMS BEHIND REAR LIGHTs

PLASTIC TRIM AROUND THE INSIDE OF THE TAILGATE,

75GBP+carriage/return carriage - (when i know what size these parts can be package up an how much they weigh,i think I can cut a deal with my courior as theyre good like that)That whole lot will have the entire boot area down to the top of the the rear quarterpanels coated.

The tweed area around the front cabin..

(These plastics are removable - im not sure about the door cards as I have never removed mine,be good if the tweed part is removable as thatll save weight in sending it)

FRONT DOOR CARDS/TWEED COVERED AREAX2

REAR QUARTERSX2/UP TO WINOW PLASTICS

LOWER DASHBOARD/IN UNDER STEERING WHEEL

GLOVEBOX COVER/DOOR

DOWN THE SIDED OF THE CENTRE CONSOLE

65GBP+p&p as mentioned above

IGNITION COWL TRIM 10GBP

ARMREST COVER ONLY12GBP OR 6GBP IF INCLUDED WITH EITHER OF THE ABOVE!

these are guide prices, not everyone will want same things coated so people will have different prices for whatever and the more you want doing ,the better deal i can give you. This is for BLACK flock,ANY other colours are available but cost alittle more - not alot, price depends on how many parts you want coating, just ask or email me a picture of the colour you need and i can see whats closest.

I think these are very very reasonable prices, going by what i would usually charge and what others charge. What do you think youd like coating?, custom bassboxes, gaugepods ,sunvisors etc etc...

I would go for most of those but in black and some in red!

How large can you go? Can you do a whole dash for example?

oh yeah!size is no problem,i just dont have any photos of dashboards that ive done.i have an '03 impreza interior waiting to be done tomorrow,so i can show you a dash complete then.Headliners are another common part to be done(although none in a t-top lol)you could have the whole of the car one if you wanted.

I would go black for the boot area, at the moment im fitting the series 2 blue/grey velour, if i send you a swatch of material, is it possible to match the colour? I want to keep the seats in that colour.

FYI all the plastic trim is removeable on the door cards.
