A friend of a friend has a nice zed that he wants to sell due to autobox driving in 1 2 and reverse but when in D it just reves going nowhere. Possible causes? I ask as i may pick it up cheap. if the autobox is dead how much of a ballache are they to change? easier to convert to manual?

Autobox is very easy to swap over.

 

But 1st i would drain the oil then take the all pan off and clean the filter. Then put new oil back it.

 

Some one will put up a link soon of how you do it..

sounds like its low on fluid. plently of auto boxes around as most swap to manual. so there noty big bucks if youve got the time and desire and its cheap enough might be worth a buy. however theres lots of other zed bugs to look out for....
