i found out today that as expected my engine/turbos are knackered, and its driving me nuts as what to do with it.

do i spend around £2000 to get it repaired or do i sell it as is?

after much debate with myself, i cant even justify even to myself, never mind anyone else to get it repaired. ive loved every minute of driving it, but cant afford to spend the money on it nor keep up the £200 a month running cost

greddy prolific b boost controller

2 brand new falcon 452 tyres only done about 80 miles on front, rears are in good condition

maybe a bit ambitious but hoping to get about £800 for it

18 months ago i would have agreed. now thio id stick it away save the £200 id sabed each month and then after accumilating a few quid do it myself. there in again if tyour not very precious about the car you could break this one and use the profit to purchase a whole working one...

firsty i havent got anywhere to "stick it away" secondly im a plasterer not a mechanic so there aint much chance of doing it myself, as for not caring about the car..... im gutted

where implyinmg you didnt care, just saying if your not precious on that one, i knwo some people can quite happily just buy another personally i get attached to a shell. i feel for you with teh sticking it away pretty limited myself. and as for not being a mechanic, you once werent a plasterer if you get my meaning everything can be learned with enough time. chin up buddy, bloody zeds eh.

Hi... well for what it's worth

 

Turbo went on mine and the engine went pop. I had already got two recon turbos and just needed to get the cash for the engine out and turbo swap

 

I had to have mine parked under cover up north and then get it down to Jimmer - Thanks Paul @ SWZ. We decided the engine wasn't worth risking put the Turbos on as we didn't know what damage had been done

 

Managed to get a good replacement recently rebuilt engine and that is being put in with my recon turbos. Then the original engine will be rebuilt by Jimmer.

 

I do know where there is another reasonable engine if you are interested

Maybe these are the parts Paul is NOW selling.

Cambelt broke after being changed at swz and that was the end of my car which was then BROKEN INTO PARTS .
