good to see you're going to be finally in a TT Mark :thumbup1:

Congrats!!! I think it can take up to 400 with some basics mods, such as exhaust, induction kit and maybe a remap too :)

Can these ecu be re-mapped or is it a chip cost me £1200 for the ecu for the Scoob.

Cheers Mark

A re-mapp is possible, however it can be stupidly expensive for an engine with only basic mods. Once you go bigger injectors and turbo's with decent internals then yes in order to gain the most out of what you have.

A decent chip like from Zedworld, DTA or John Dixon is much cheaper and easier. They are more than capable of dealing with the usual exhaust/induction/boost increase and many many have them.

Your in luck, remapped chip for the Z ECU will cost you around £100.

make sure she is running 100% - Compression, Fueling, Boost/vacumn leaks and cooling system check.

your basic mods will see you well on the way to 400bhp - Induction kit, Catback exhaust, Chipped ECU, Boost upgrade to 1bar.

Then you can look at : Lightweight Pulleys, Lightweight Flywheel, Lightweight one price prop, Divorced Wastegate downpipes and Decat - All help to improve reponse, spoolup/lag - resulting in a much livelier free-revving engine.

your money would be better spent at the likes of zedworld or jimmer for a full check over and a service first, then as said once runnig right start the mods

a chip and boost would make the car feel so much quicker but if there are hidden probs then its only gonna end up goosed

good luck on the purchase though buddy

Cheers lads, will get it checked over first, going to sort the rear arches first before upgrading power but good to know you can get a chip for around £100.

thing is zed world is quite a distance from Teesside, any were local lol

Thanks Mark

No matter where you live in the UK,(excluding Midlands lol) no where would be local to you that has their expertise, service and knoweldge of these cars.
