Nope, If were talking the same model for each (TT LWB).

same model mate lwb TT, the guy also has swaped the auto box to a manual so well chuffed.

 

what bhp are the TT 280?

J-spec TT cars are virtually identical to the UK spec....

seats are the same but the belts are on the doors in the jap models so the little fellas can reach them

The jap ones will have run on higher fuel.

Will want sorting if it hasn't already.

Belts were only on the doors up until 93/94 wasn't it?

didnt some imports have restrictor plates in the exhaust if still standard?

Until late 92. ie. Series 1 only.

Seems its not just a Jap thing - Had several UK owners say their original exhausts had the exact same restrictors in too, in response to threads about it on here before.
