Saw this little beauty by Victoria Park in Bristol, was like looking into a mirror aside from the boot spoiler, and mine is always brown from the muddy country lanes!

Very nice :)

N reg? Doubt it.

Doubt what?

UK spec and N reg.

The last 300's in the UK were 94, typically L reg, some M reg. So it would have to be very late registered car to be a genuine N registration. Perfectly possible but it'd be the first i'd seen.

Plate was definitely reading an N :) Didn't realise this was such a rare spot ... someone must fess up to owning such a rarity :)

although considering the evidence the likelihood of it being genuine is not too favourable?

Most likely just a UK rear end mate, its 100% impossible to have a N reg 300 on a uk plate!

Surely it's possible if the garage selling it didn't register it and he bought it after the new reg came out isn't it? Remember the registration only pertains to when it was purchased, not manufactured.

I didn't even realise the last UK specs were made on an M plate until now.

It's 100% possible. A garage is under no obligation to register a car immediately. If they had it sitting round unsold for months/years it would adopt the registration letter when sold.

Its just unlikely as the dealers can't afford to hold onto such stock for extended periods and it effects their bonuses. The cars either sell or are pre-registered to the dealer.

why would you go to all that effort in attempt to make me it look like a uk spec? theres just no advantage to it. other than having those standard rear fogs. stick a note on it next time and get him to join the club :D

IIRC, almost all were built to order, so the chances of an unregistered one coming over and sitting there unregistered for 2 years are pretty much zero.

As he said...

.....I have seen the odd "M" plate UK car (IIRC Dipone had one) but M reg came out in August 1994 whilst there were still a few ZXs knocking around waiting to be sold. Whether there were any still unregistered by August 1995 is anyone's guess......

Could it have been on a private plate beginning with "N" like an Irish NIL 1234, or something similar?

It would be nice to see a UK spec registered that late though!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
