Well i finally got round to fitting my SS exhaust to replace the one below in my sig pic. Since buying the car last June the passenger side centre section baffles had collapsed but on removal both had gone, i thought the car was bloody fast before but now it could have almost gained 100bhp the way it drives, on completely dry roads in 2nd gear the car tears and twists when the loud pedal is punched, spinning the tyres loads! i couldnt stop driving it tonight and ended up driving 30 miles! 3rd gear is now like 2nd was.

After owning 2 TT 300's before this one, by far this is my quickest.

And... if any of you have read my previous posts regarding high idle at 1000 revs, it now idles at 700 perfect!

Which exhaust is it on their now ?

As in what make, I meant :)

I know you said you wanted something a bit quieter than the old one, so I assume this is a more reasonable volume ? (and looks better IMO).

is it loud, and what size are those tips, i have a system like your previous and would love to know if the smaller tips make it less noisey.

hi mate, its not really down to the tips used its what size back boxes you have and if there are any silencers from cats or downpipes. The system in my sig picture was loud but not stupid but the centre box after the cats was a balance box and it was completely fooked and blocked with collapsed baffles. The rear cans you see in the picture had NO baffles in what so ever and hollowed out.

The previous system was 4" all the way through from cats, this new one is 2.5"

Ive opted for the quad style as i was never keen on the dustbin exit style and liked the original Z exhaust style.

I can take some pics of under car if you wish to help?

the vet. i think i understand what you mean,. i appreciate your response, always thought with smaller bore exhuasts you may loose hp/torque. but in your case seems the opposite, well done, glad you like it.

from what i understand how the gas in processed is more important than how quickly it escapes. theres a tread somewhere about decatting that explaiins all of it.
