cool! is that one of those cabinet thingys with gloves in to it? kinda like what homer simpson uses except with a sray gun that fires grit??

shot blasting cabinet maybe? is that what you got? wanted to get one. got a compressor what kinda CFM they need?

Latz

That's the fella. Kind of a DIY jobbie, but it serves the purpose. My compressor is a bit small so you have to take it slowly but it beats 3 months with paintstripper and sandpaper !

what make is it? i was looking at getting the clarke one?

Latz

It's the kind of plywood and Hammerite make, but the compressor is a small SIP and the gun came from the guy who made the cabinet.

You can buy guns with a built in grit resovoir from Halfords for about £25.

I've got one of these, it is fantastic, you'll find that it has been copied by the likes of Clarke etc, at a far higher price.

The cabinet I made myself for about £35 of chipboard and perspex.

Sorry to hijack the thread!

cheers guys! get this though - my m8 just started work for a company that used to do performance mods!

they got a lot of the machinery still there inc a hig power shot blaster. he said to give him my block, sump, heads, etc and he will make them new again !

Hmmm, you wanna be careful what you blast with one of those things, you don't want grit filling up internal oilways etc or getting near bearing surfaces.

Anyway, here is a great toyshop www.axminster.co.uk - if your playroom is a workshop that is ...

funny you say that!..... i was writing that up and i thought the same thing. thinking i may just steer clear of it and just paint the block and sump. what do you think??

as for the playroom...... using my brothers back garden at the moment. they (my bro and his friend) have built me a big cannopy which is quite cool in exchange for me repairing his sunroof in his 535 and his cavalier 4x4 16v wiring loom!! didnt think it was too bad a swap.
