Hi guys.

I'm in the market for a weekend toy and having once owned a 300zx tt I'm starting to come around to the idea of having another. I'm after a UK 300 with good history, standard body, leather, Ttop and two turbo’s and a manual box.

Condition doesn't have to be great, in fact I'm quite looking forward to getting my hand dirty again, but I'm not in the mood for sorting out crappy body work. Colour doesn't really mater as they all look good. >Maybe not ALL but I'll not go there. :whistling:

So if you know of a 300 that needs a little help getting back to it's former days drop me a PM.

Cheers, Chris.

PS. Here are a few pictures of my old 300 back in 2003 anyone know if it's still doing the rounds...

Hi ya bud, welcome to the club, unfortunately people won't be able to pm you until you are a subscribed member, but you can always try the forsale section.

That's a nice exsample of your old one though

Welcome mate good luck searching i think you will be hard pushed to find a UK spec with good bodywork that someone is willing to sell

Cheers guys. (Welcome back?) Well I was a paid up member at the time. :)

I've not found what I'm looking for yet but then I didn't expect to within a few days. I think finding a manual might be the problem especially as I'm starting to lean towards a black 300. Out of interest, and to save me using the search facility :p, can a auto box be changed relatively cheaply for a manual?

Regarding the body work, from recollection the panels are pretty thick so a little bubbling over the arches can probably be caught and fixed. It's the sills that can be a bit of a pig, well at least they were on my old 200sx.

Sorry I can't see how to edit a post so just to add I was a paid up member of a 300zx club, not sure if it was this one though. :blushing:

Welcome mate and good luck in the search, on the edit point only sub'd members can edit a post once submitted :)

If you can get hold of a 'box, clutch pedal etc etc then yes mate! Otherwise JeffTT (Zedworld) will do the whole job all in for about £1600 - he sometimes has a waiting list for the conversion though - give him a call to discuss.

I've now found my latest 300ZX. I went for Pauls UK 300zx and a very nice car it is to, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?169878-SOLD-PRICE-DROPPED-1993-Series-2-UK-300ZX-LWB-TT-99-spec-style-with-goodies!.

It need a little work, I spent all day yesterday covering the driver seat and detailed the interior. I'm really impressed how the external road noise doesn't come into the cab but I'm frustrated about the rattling of the trim. New weekend I hope to find time to start pulling the trim off to see if things can be put back together better.

I also found time this morning to clay bar the body and through a coat of wax on. Started a 0600 and finished at 0840!

Pictures to follow. ;)

Chris.
