The other day there my sub has randomly started making a buzzing sound which gets louder and starts to pop and crackle! There's no rhyme or reason to it as it cuts in and out when it feels like it :/

 

The set up was in the car when I bought it so have no idea how it's been wired :/ It's a 15" sub, 2 Amps, 1 Farad power cap, 2x 6x9's, 4x smaller speakers and 2 tweeters if thats any help?

sounds like a phono lead shorting out m8.check all your wiring for loose connections..lee

either what lee said or you might need a suppressor fitted, see if it does it with different items on. ie engine running, then wipers go through each item, if the noise incress in piitch with engine running you would need the suppressor on the alternator.

Also try remaking all the earths.

Check the power to the amp isn't near the RCA
