Windows ???

Drivers Window stopped working!!!!!

Took the window switch out the other day to see if the connection was lose,got instuctions from Stuart.Going to get the door panel off too.

What do i check, what am i looking for to get my window working again....

 

 

PS. Passenger window is working fine & i can hear the switch relay working on the drivers side, but window does'nt move.

had same problem its your relay swicth box inside the drivers door half way along neer the bottom is a black box you can get to it from the bottom of the door slide it of the bracket disconect the wires, you can get the box apart with a bit of brute force mine was a solder joint broke inside just re solderd it and it works fine try moving the wires on it first it could be a loose wire, hope this helps.

 

 

Can also be the actual power window motor (very common actually for these to partially strip the wormdrive)... not the easiest thing in the world to remove, and keep in mind that the door trim is alot harder to remove if the window is all the way up (the top screw is on the outside behind the top of the window)

A tech article for replacing this can be found on both www.aus300zx.com and tt.net from memory.

 

Probably best to remove the whole regulator if the 3 screws holding the motor don't budge easily.
