I would have said the ferrari, but since you would have to sell the zed then I'll plump for the merc.

Merc and the Zed!-more reliable than the Ferrari!:ninja:

Love the Ferrari, but would have to agree.... those italians tend to be a bit tempremental!!

You'll never get another Zed like yours and those Mercs are great cars. However..... Who wouldn't want to own a Ferrari?! Love to have your predicament. I'd probably let heart rule head and get the Ferrari. But that's just me. Nice cars all of 'em.

If I had the 348 or a 355 Iwould still have to drive this around as a banger but dont have a problem with that cos I love the VIT LOL

a ferrari is just that a ferrari, i would love to have one as long as i could have the zed, but IMHO i would keep the zed and have the merc aswell

if you have a ferrari like that people will always say "is that a mr2 with a kit" then you have to explain and convince that its a real ferrari, with the zed they say "fook thats nice-what is it?" then you say a "300zx" they say "whats one of them" and thats the nice thing about a 300zx, they look like evryone should know what they are but know one does

i wouldnt have that car over your zed, i would have your zed and the merc, best of both worlds

keep the zed and get the merc, the zed would kill a rarri any day lol

they did peugot 406 ferrari that looks just like that, very good copy's they were but looked like the one you posted and the backs looked all wrong

People do copes of most ferraris....! 355/360/430 all copied!

Or are you meaning the 406 coupe?

Turns out you can use a 406 coupe as a base for the fake 360...

Well just a thought about eh 456.

As for the original question I would have the CLK55 and keep your 300zx. Problem is with a ferrari of that age, its going to feel every bit its age.

Being around 300bhp and nearly 20 years old, thats the same as a standard zed...

CLK55 will be both faster than the zed and the 348, be more economical and 100x more reliable than the ferrari (10x more than the zed) and handle better than both of them.

Is there a particular reason you want a 348?

if ya gonna go old ferrari have a 308gtb and grow a tash, i loved magnums vert and i love the hartop equivilant

550 Maranello?

they can be had for £30k nowadays, far more modern and gorgeous!

merc and the zed its the more realistic suggestion. the zed is a toy and the merc is the realiable long distance luxary cruiser thing. the thing you drive across the country for a weekeend away, with teh zed being what you take out on sundays to try and smash trees down with soundwaves.

Assuming the 348 is somewhere around the 30k mark, could you not look at these instead? I have a huge thing for the 456... :) IMHO a hugely underrated (and so under valued car!)
