:cursing: I am replacing an old summer house that has virtually fallen down. Because my place is listed it costs me far more money to do this than my neighbours either side who can do whatever they want in their own gardens.

 

So i spend 3K having plans done by an arcietect and planning consultant (50% of the cost of the replacement structure). And one of my neighbours decides to object on the grounds that it will be used as Gym. He has stated that as it is to be used as an office and gym that "I might play music out there" so wants it soundproofed as its a log cabin.

 

Its like 300ft away from the tossers house! WTF its not like i live in a terrace or something. Im sick to death of these old money ****s that think they own the world. His wife moaned about the noise the zed made im frickin paranoid of even having the thing running now.

 

Yet at 730am they are both out there using ride on movers petrol leaf blowers, petrol hedge trimmers and stuff like that. I am so gonna be going out of my way to make some noise this year, been out there reving the car up today. Immidiately i start it they are out there reving up chainsaws etc. *****cks to em they did not even have the balls to knock on my door im sick of it.

Throw a bbq this summer, I'll bring a couple of K's worth of sound system to help things along!

I've just moved to THE quietest neighbourhood i've ever lived in and i'm petrified of what the neighbours think when I finally bring back the V8 and my brother gets his mini with the straight through exhaust back on :rofl:

 

I still haven't introduced myself to the next door neighbour but he's incredibly quiet. The place i've just moved from the guy and his wife are big car fans so loved hearing the mini burn off in the mornings and he was round the night i finally got the V8 started up bless him :)

 

I'm going to miss them but i know what it's like when you get some ****ers as neighbours. At my parent's house the next door couple had 3 horrible noisy children screaming and banging around at 6am and during the day to the point you thought they were being murdered but as soon as you put any music on they'd be round within 60 seconds to say the kids were trying to sleep and could we not make any noise.

My neighbour objected to an extension on my house that was for a bedroom and wet room for me that was accessible for my wheelchair!!! ***kheads the lot of them!!! Needless to say it didn't affect anything...lol :cursing:

Yeah mate, it didn't alter anything because it was for a disabled person. He then complained when it was being built, wait for this one, you won't believe it, he said it was on his property by 10 milimeters, and he was going to complain to the council!!! The builders explained to him that his fence was slightly out. Pr***. :asshole:

 

The neighbour on my other side is a right pain in the **se as well, she's always in and out of our house, can't get rid of her.......lol, it's my mum.....lol, I moved next door to my mum and dad, and always thought I could look after them in their old age, I nursed my dad through his cancer until he died, now it's more like my mum looks after me again.....lol.....who'd have thought, I don't know where we would be without her really....:thumbup:

see me personally i smile at my neighbous and say hello but apart from that have nothing to do with any of them and after living in 6 houses i find its the best policy i have enuff friends dont need anymore and especially 1s who live next door to me funily enuff last summer when i was working on the zed 1 of my neighbours over the road starting talking to me about the car its the most i've said to the guy in 4 years living here.

just ignore them and get on with ur life man, if they complain about ur cabin then try to think of a way around it so u get wat u want n not wat they want.

Man, i`m so lucky.

After reading this i appreciate where i live even more. Got great neighbours..in fact my section of the street for about 5-8 houses on either side of the road are a mini community.

Everyone helps each other out, looks after cats/houses/gardens/oldies/sickies yet no ones a pain, all respect each others privacy/quality of life etc.

Really feel for you as been there before. Time to take up amatuer road digging i reckon Max.

our neighbour is an AR**hole she plays loud music till late at night from early morning, and to top it off, we had the police and dog wardens round the other week saying they were taking our mastiff, as supposedly she had been out in the street attacking people and biting her kid. The police came round with a destroy order, the thing was we were supposed to be letting our dog out and she was escaping, the garden has 6ft flat fences soild, with marine ply on them to stop any escapes, the only time she was let out was when we where there, and we have a dog run made up with 1/2 inch solid bar metal frame work so no chance of escape. when the police came round we got told that our dog had attacked and bitten a group or adults in the street with kids.

 

So being the good people we are let them in to see our dog that was being accused, they were very surprised by what they saw.

 

A 12x6x6inch wooden box with her name plate on she had passed away 4 weeks earlier, report had been made that day and they swore it was our dog.

 

Karma is a bitch as now she is seriosly ill serves her right in my eyes.
