boost jets

i see people talking about boost jets what are they and do i need them when fitting an electronic boost control any advice would be much appreciated

    If you are fitting an electronic boost controller then you do not need boost jets.

    These are small jets that restrict the airflow to the turbo actuator, allowing a higher boost pressure to be reached.

     

    Electronic boost controllers use a pressure sensor and control solenoid to eletronically control a preset level of boost.

     

    Electronic controllers generally allow the preset level of boost to be reached quicker than boost jets and do not suffer from boost spikes like the jets are known for.
